Selling Your Unwanted,
Used Textbooks Is Simple!
Enter as many ISBN's
in the search box as desired. Enter one ISBN per
line. Click the Search button to initiate your query. We will
quote our best price. Select the condition of your used textbook(s)
by entering the quantity of New and/or Used books per title. When complete,
click the Calculate Totals button to re-calculate line item totals
and the grand total. Use the Delete button to remove a single
title from your order, or, use the Clear Order button to start
over.
When you accept our offer, click the Sell Books button. Once you have completed the Seller Information form, click the Proceed button to verify your mailing address against the United States Postal Service's Zip+4 directory. Upon verifying your address, click the Accept USPS Address button to print the shipping documents.
You may by-pass the address verification process by clicking the Bypass Validation button. Your order, which includes shipping labels, a packing slip and your receipt will be presented for printing. If a printer is not readily available, you may view your order at your convenience through the Order Status page.
The Order Status module is a secure area. To access this area, you will need your order number and email address used when placing the order. The Order Status area provides useful information relating to the receipt and processing of your order at our facility, such as date or receipt and processing, grading exceptions relative to condition and order variances.
Always retrieve a current quote before sending your used college textbooks.
We update our database each month. To ensure the best price for your
used textbooks and to avoid being re-quoted upon receipt at our facility,
please ship your used textbooks within 10 days of your quote.
It is the policy of BooksValue not to
return used textbooks once received in our facility. However,
we endeavor to work to the satisfaction of our customers. Therefore,
we will make exceptions when the seller provides for return shipping
charges or accepts COD or postage due.
Condition Criteria:
Used Textbook pricing
is based on CONDITION and DEMAND. Because condition
is subject to many factors, the final decision on determining a used
textbook condition is at the discretion of BooksValue .
NEW condition
is representative of textbooks that can be sold as new textbooks in
college and university bookstores. NEW condition
textbooks are in pristine condition with no visible wear or usage;
including no bent pages, no bent corners, no markings of any kind
and no cuts or scratches on the covers.
Any textbook
not meeting NEW condition criteria as noted above, will be graded
as USED.
Inspect your textbooks closely to avoid being re-quoted upon receipt at our facility.
If a used textbook
is listed indicating W/DISK(S) or W/CD-ROM, the disks must be unopened
to be considered for New condition purchase. Regardless of
condition, if noted in the title, all CD-ROM's or floppy disk's must
be included to be accepted for purchase.
Certain textbooks have no value.
Some examples of textbooks having no value are as follows (this is not an all inclusive
list, please contact us if you have specific questions):

Used textbooks
with bad bindings, missing covers and/or missing pages.
CLEAN and COMPLETE means that study guides, workbooks, lab manuals, etc.,
must not have greater than 5 pages of answers or writing and/or missing any pages.
Textbooks with water damage (moisture causing
wavy, sticky, discolored or swollen pages).
International Editions, Free Copy, Annotated Copy, Complimentary Copy,
Professional Copy and Instructor Copy (Occassioanlly there are exceptions, please contact us for approval).
Counterfeit Textbooks:
Due to the large volume of counterfeit textbooks entering the United States, we have implemented stringent policies and procedures to eliminate the possible introduction of counterfeit textbooks into the U.S. marketplace through the BooksValue website. A comprehensive watch list has been compiled of known counterfeit textbooks.
If you are a seller of textbooks which originate outside the United States, then you will be subject to special investigations and examinations to determine the legitimacy of your textbook(s). Before you place an order on the BooksValue website, you must comply with the following procedures:
A. An advance copy of the textbook(s) you wish to sell must be sent to our facility for inspection. Upon inspection, you will be notified if your textbook is acceptable and an order can be placed. If the textbook(s) is deemed counterfeit, you will be notified and the textbook(s) will be destroyed per industry standards and the copyright and trademark laws of the United Sates to avoid the possibility of introduction into the U.S. marketplace.
B. A legible sales receipt clearly showing the name and address of your source/supplier. The sales receipt must be sent along with the advance copy of the textbook. If an advance copy arrives without a legible sales receipt, the textbook will not be inspected. You may request the textbook be returned at your expense.
C. A written statement indicating you have the legal right and ownership to sell this textbook(s) to BooksValue and that you obtained your textbooks from a legal source without knowledge that your textbook(s) are counterfeit. Your statement should be sent via email to customerservice@booksvalue.com with reference to each title and quantity you wish to sell. A copy of the statement is to be sent with the order upon acceptance.
Anti-Dumping Policy for Bulk Buyers/Sellers :
Effective April 20th 2008, Bulk Buyers/Sellers should contact us in advance with a list of books they wish to sell. In general no Seller should send in any given title in excess of 10 copies in a 90 day period. Any exceptions to this policy must be granted in advance in writing. Approval for exceptions can be obtained by first sending a list of books wishing to be sold to customerservice@booksvalue.com. If at any time an order is found to be in violation of our dumping policy, then these books will be set aside for later processing or returned to the Seller at their expense- at our discretion.
Condition Grading Disputes:
It is our policy to hold all orders for a period of 4 calendar days where an exception is identified with an order. This period of time is set aside in case of disputes in grading. An email acknowledgement will be sent upon receipt of orders indicating a review of exceptions may be checked by clicking on the Order Status page of the website. If you dispute our grading of your order, you must notify us within the 4 day holding period for further consideration. Thereafter, all grading conditions are final.

Getting Paid:
BooksValue will issue your check
on the day
your textbooks are received at our facility. Checks are mailed
on the day following receipt. Electronic payments via PayPal
are sent the same day.
Staying Informed:
BooksValue keeps you informed along the
way. You may review your order's status at anytime by visiting
the Order Status screen for
real-time feedback. The Order Status
screen provides information on receiving, processing and
exceptions pertaining to your order. Generally, all
information needed about your order can be found on the Order Status
